Why dont u just use riposte too? For a warrior, the best way to counter the damage dealt by ripostes is to use ripostes too in ordfer to deal as much damage as your opponent. Just make an auspicious parry build with the 2 ripostes.
If u want an edge in the fight, start the fight by activating deadly riposte and casting reversal of fortune. Attack him once (one hit) then stop attacking. You will gain an adrenaline point to charge auspicious parry and trigger his deadly riposte that will be reversed into life with reversal of fortune. Then u simply activate auspicious parry which will charge riposte. Activate riposte and deadly riposte (if this one is recharged). Rince and repeat. Basically, the opponent takes the 2 riposte in the ass while one of his riposte gets converted into life for you, cancelling the damage dealt by the other riposte. |

Sympathetic visage, stops them form building adrenaline when they hit you, so they'd have to let you hammer on them.

[skill]Shield Bash[/skill] being knocked down won't stop riposte or deadly riposte, but shield bash will (also fun with diversion)

Use expose defenses, rigor mortis, way of the fox etc... You will still take damage but if you can outdamage him you will be able to kill him.

Overthinking?
Ummm I'm a faithful user of these skills which you so despise and i feel that the best way to counter them would be to use Warrior's Cunning. In the 8 or so seconds this grants you you should be able to devastate your oppent or at least fill him up with hramful conditions. Also add attacks that ignore blocks like Pure Strike. With enough healing you should be fine...switch to W/Mo best ever. Or a really east solution is not attacking and leaving the duel at a draw because he won't be able to do any dmg without those skills. This will force a tie and make him change his skill set in round two........i duel for money so yea...this is how i make my GW living lol.

Heres the problem with waiting for 8 seconds, he can still use deadly riposte and while you are waiting, he can attack you while you cannot attack back and when you try to heal, the healing sig is too slow and -40 armor where as lions comfort needs adrenalin thx
